 Dr. Kagonya Awori is a highly experienced computer engineer with over 15 years of leadership and expertise in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Her core mission is to develop scalable AI solutions for/from Africa and advance our understanding of the dynamic relationship between people, contexts, and technologies on the continent. She has led teams and shaped corporate strategy to drive technological innovation for African businesses, making a substantial impact on their growth and development. Kagonya's educational background includes dual Masters in HCI from Carnegie Mellon University (USA), a Bachelor's in Business Information Technology from Strathmore University (Kenya), and a PhD in Computer Engineering from the University of Melbourne (Australia). Apart from her professional life, Kagonya finds joy in travel, open water swimming, archery, and is passionate about mentoring the younger generation.

Timothy Mulondo is an experienced strategist with a strong record of accomplishment in the real estate and investment management sectors. He has efficiently managed substantial portfolios for leading asset management firms in the East African region. He holds an MBA from the University of South Wales as well as a certificate in Project Management from the Darden School of Business. His educational background includes a degree in Land Economics from Makerere University. Timothy's expertise considerably contributes to our strategy evaluation and partnership endeavours.

Cynthia Kagiri is a seasoned legal and governance professional who is dedicated to impactful and solution-oriented leadership. She completed her Bachelor of Laws degree at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and later obtained her Master of Laws with a specialization in Corporate Governance from the University of Nairobi. She is a qualified Company Secretary registered with the Institute of Certified Secretaries of Kenya. Cynthia serves as a part-time member of the Elakistos Advisory Board, drawing on her legal and governance expertise gained from her extensive experience working in various industries such as private legal practice, the financial services sector, and the non-profit sector.

Dr. Mark Adero is a highly experienced professional with over 13 years of hands-on experience in biotech projects for both local and international organizations. He has a solid educational background, holding a BSc in Biology, an MSc in Genetics, and a Ph.D. in Biotechnology. Mark is passionate about utilizing novel biotechnologies to improve Africa's agricultural and health systems. His work largely involves engineering new crop varieties to overcome Africa's climatic and biotic challenges.

Dr. Ryan Awori graduated with Doctorate in Biology from Goethe University Frankfurt in March 2021. He then undertook an Afrika Kommt Fellowship at the Chemical and Pharmaceutical Department, Merck Healthcare KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany. Armed with a mixture of industrial and academic research insights, coupled with his deep passion for antimicrobial drug discovery, Dr. Ryan Awori established Elakistos Biosciences and continues to directed it to this day.
